Take a shower or do reviews…

Hmm…

Reviews it is!

Karaoke.

Ending. Only the ending aired this episode.

This is…

I don’t even know what to say, so instead I’m going to make wrist slitting motions with my middle finger. I think that’ll get the point across.

Typesetting.

From a convo in #whine-subs after I said Hatsuyuki’s TL of the club sounded better (Sutai’s in rori):

<Sutai> All instances of “Tama University of Literature”.
<Sutai> “Tama University for the Arts”.
<Sutai> Someone didn’t do their research before working on the series.
<Sutai> All instances of “Sightseeing Club”.
<Sutai> “Roadway Observation Research Institute”.
<Sutai> that name
<Sutai> is a reference to the LN
<Sutai> it’ll be used as a pun later.

Not much. Just cutting into your episode titles.

Script.

You don’t use commas to indicate a pause when it’s not grammatically correct to do so. That’s what ellipses (or em-dashes, if you’re into that) are for.

“You need to make amends…” “this instant!”

I’m just gonna copy the same thing I said on rori’s release:

In this case “daddy” is not a name but a title. Easy way to tell which it is — replace “Daddy” with the person’s name and see if it still works.

“Listen to your Fredrick.” sounds like shit, so it should be “daddy” uncapitalized in this case.

Close.

It’s “nor have lived” rather than “nor lived”. You can tell by switching up the parts of the sentence:

I might not {be related by blood} nor {lived with them long enough}. <—> I might not {lived with them long enough} nor {be related by blood}.

Again, commas may indicate pause, but they have rules. This is not right. Switch out the comma with an ellipsis.

Get “out here” out of here.

Using the same line three times in a row is shit writing to the max. Try changing up the middle one so you don’t appear to have the vocabulary of a dog.

“Why did you come to a college so far away from Tokyo?” <- Simple, simple fix.

Watchability: Watchable.

Overall grade: B-

I can’t recommend Hatsuyuki over rori for anything here. It’s not a bad release though. It’s just not as good.

  1. The club and school names are things that were going to be changed next episode, as I admit not enough research was done. Can’t justify anything else though.
