Bubbles? In my Zetman? Why would you do this, you sick bastards?

Typesetting.

Other.

Whoa, no credits after the OP? Is this Hadena, or am I dreaming?

Oh, they just switched to credits after the ED. Great.

Script Quality

Karaoke.

The karaoke is fine, which is weird considering the script itself isn’t.

Main Script.

Sentences usually have ending punctuation.

This is why they teach adjectives in school. This isn’t “a life situation or a death situation” this is “a life-or-death situation”.

“There are no noticeable changes in the ZET factors.”

And now for a change of pace, we have a good line. The ordinary “Oh, yada yada” line in Japanese becomes “Oh, for crying out loud!” in these subs. Nice.

Actually, her name is Konoha, but nice try.

lol

I’ve been holding off on British English vs. American English discussions this season, but if you’re using American English in your subs, this should really be judgment.

Pick a tense and stick with it.

“It was those kids who like beating up homeless people, wasn’t it?”

’em is supposed to be short for “them”, so use an apostrophe to indicate there are missing letters.

I don’t get it. I mean, sure, you can use “sympathetically” in place of “favorably” and the idea here is that the two are linked together, but you don’t need an adjective in front of “linked” to get that across because linked means… linked.

This is all supposed to be one sentence linked with an ellipsis, so why is the second line capitalized?

“I’ll hunt you down by myself!” just sounds 100x better.

Timing Review

Incoming. When “Timing Critique” is added as a category, you’ll know this part is done.

Overall grade (timing results not factored in): C

Hatsuyuki-Tsuki managed a better release, so go with them for this show.

Okay, now I’m fucking done with Spring 2012. If there’s another group that needs their subs reviewed, too fucking bad; they missed the cut-off. We’re done here. WE’RE DONE.

    • It’s awkward but made sense in the context that he’s the only one who can become ZET even though he… is ZET.

    • C. When in doubt, go with what it says in the text part of the review. What happened was I originally had it as a C-, but forgot to change the grade section (I have to manually fill in this stuff so it auto-populates the Review Summary page, which means I sometimes forget to update the info).
