Guess this is one way to make the dubbed version better…
This introduction, it burns
I hate doing Funimation reviews because their awkward lines are annoying to fix and going screen by torturous screen to make individual corrections gives me a fucking migraine. So in honor of the Saiki-kun himself, let’s go with “simple is best” for once.
Honestly was not planning to post any of these screens outside of Twitter, but Funi’s Engrish triggered the fuck out of me today and I got kinda pissed off. So “enjoy” a sampling of what you’ll be subjected to if you decide to watch Funimation’s Saiki K.
I don’t know what third-world country Funimation contracts to, but I do know there’s no way you could pay me enough to visit.
Aren’t Typographic Failures Technically Typos?
Speaking of hardsubs…
How does this even happen? I mean, I know it happens cuz Funi doesn’t have QCs, but I had to ask anyway. (Sure, I could’ve got the point across with one image but this gives me an excuse to post plot.)
What you came for (and what some of you come for if you’re into public shaming):
Gonna have to go to a lot more than that, sister.
I wish Funimation was merely a ruse.
Looks French and sounds French. Case closed.
Doubt you’ve ever seen a book without pictures either.
Fuck the what?
Drop the “The” in the same way Funimation should drop their staff down a well.
Can’t say that’s what gets me going, but M it up all ya want, man.
Out of yours too, assuming she’s literate.
Making me wish I had a foot fetish now.
Someone do the blu-rays so I don’t have to archive this bullshit.
That’s it, cuz I’m not rewatching anything to find more content. Lazy post, sure, but still not as lazy as Funimation’s translation staff~
