Goddamn, I enjoyed the snark coming from MC-chan. Rather than writing this off as passable, I’ll even go so far as to say I liked the script. Now, whether that’s due to the original Japanese version being entertaining or the responsibility of the localization team’s efforts… it really doesn’t matter. What does matter is the end-user experience, and I can say it’ll be rather decent here.

Show (in context of being a short): 7/10
Figure you’ve already noticed, but I tend to skew Short series high in the beginning cuz there’s nothing to judge them on but potential. Take this show for example, the entire first episode is simply setup for a puzzle-solving series — there were no puzzles in the 01. So while it was enjoyable enough for me to stick it with a 7, I would not be surprised if that score changed significantly depending on where the fuck they go with it.
So yeah, take these with a grain of salt. Unlike whatever scores I give to standard-length series, cuz those are objectively perfect.
Bishoujo Yuugi Unit Crane Game Girls Galaxy
I think they… just ditched the crane game premise entirely and decided to make the series about idols? Like, what the fuck? Sure, it’s better, cuz S1 was pretty much just low-budget crane game tutorials, but they’re pivoting harder than strippers.
