Another great fansub release from the excellent fansubbers at Commie. They truly have the highest QUALITY staff in the industry.

Do note that I have changed my disqualification notices from “Fansub Review” to “Fakesub Review”. You can’t particularly call yourselves fans when you put out garbage like this.

“I want to be a vet ever since I was a child.” Just brilliant, Commie.

If you want to edit it to that, you’re gonna need to change the “Where” to “What”. The Crunchyroll line was fine.

While Crunchyroll’s line wasn’t right, your edit wasn’t either. “You’ve joined a club over spring break” is incorrect; the line would be “You joined a club over spring break.”

Of course, this change only matters if you think English does. If you don’t, then you’ve done well for yourselves, Commie.

Commie’s is prettier, but also hardly even readable. When you need typesetting lessons from Crunchyroll, then you know you’ve fucked up.

Just in case you needed evidence they hardly changed a damn thing.

The sad thing is, Commie actually thinks they’re a good fansub group and that any evidence to the contrary is bias and lies. But anybody with a functional brain can probably piece together that if Commie only makes a handful of changes to the Crunchyroll script, and some of those changes are wrong, then there’s absolutely no reason to get Commie’s release over the HorribleSubs version.

Don’t waste your bandwidth on this.

  1. well, Commie does have some derpings here and there… but they still good.

also, I think they have original subs sometimes, so they don’t always use CR’s.

    thanks

  2. The 1 good thing I can say about Commie is that they have the status page to say who is doing what. They also update it to show if timing, typesetting has been done so that we can get an estimate of when a show is released.

Other groups need to do that. Please.

    • Do you not realize those differences are typesetting and song lyrics? Dark_Sage kindly removes those from the comparison so the dialogue can more easily be compared.

  3. Sigh, why do they even try, whats wrong with fansubs these days, if you want to do a bloody project, then do it properly, just changing a sentence structure does not make you a decent fansub. I guess I have to translate this one on my own, FML!!!
