Continuing in the Spookymore spirit, and in lieu of that Shigofumi review I promised but you knew I’d never deliver on, have a pollday. It’s totally not lazy of me to shift the burden for content creation onto your poll votes, so don’t even imply that. :<
Spookiest Anime of Fall 2014
Most Horriblest Show of Fall 2014
Oh, and the list of options comes from MyAnimeList’s top 5 of the season, based on current score. So blame them for these choices.
- Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works – 8.90
- Mushishi Zoku Shou 2 – 8.81
- One Piece – 8.64
- Parasyte – 8.30
- Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso – 8.30
- Akame ga Kill – 8.26
- Psycho Pass 2 – 8.23
- Yowamushi Pedal 2 – 8.22
- Log Horizon 2 – 8.19
- Ace of Diamond – 8.09
- Nanatsu no Taizai – 8.05
Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works
It’s your fault for thinking an awful VN can be redeemed by pretty graphics and reaction faces alone.
Mushishi Zoku Shou 2
Much like Monster, the only reason you’d want to watch this is to appear deep, but that can be accomplished by just lying about having seen it. Which you will, because anyone with a pulse would find they don’t have one after trying to suffer through this journey up the creator’s own ass.
For real, who the fuck still watches this?
On second thought, maybe the manga wasn’t quite as good as you remember.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
I have nothing bad to say about this show. It’s great.

I am being overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of posts recently. Halloween invigorating your posting spirit, D_S?
Anyway, Kokkuri-san for spookiest anime. That chick is creepy as fuck. Look at that house; I bet she’s actually dead.
Spookymore’s my favorite holiday, of course I’m gonna ganbarre my best.
I-is Kaori not wearing panties there?
Sorry guy, Mushishi is comfy as hell. Can’t beat it.
F/SN is actually bad.
I´ll admit i´m liking first season more (there are some episodes here and there), but to place Mushishi together with the horriblest? come on! this anime season (as many others behind) are filled to the brim with crap, many others can/should take that place =/
Well D_S, to be fair, the Mushishi franchise is very damn enjoyable if you’re the kind of person who got into XXXHolic and dropped it after the disappointment. Case in point, me.
And the Fate franchise is kinda good too if you’re the kind of person who got into X/1999 and dropped it after the disappointment. Case in point, me again.
Also known as: Dammit, CLAMP.
Holic is great, screw you. :(
The only thing I liked about Holic was Yuuko. Ginko is kinda like a demo version of Yuuko.
And yeah, Mushishi drags on really bad, but I’m a sucker for magic realism. And I don’t have to deal with shitty scanlations, unlike Holic Rei. :)
Holic was great until a certain character vanished (would people get mad about spoilers if I talked about a years-old manga now?). Everything after that, and especially the ending, was terrible.
Just noticed, isn’t that girl the main protag of KnK, not Shiki?
Yeah I assumed that first part of the post was a joke when I saw that too, I don’t know why. her name is Shiki so I assumed that was part of the joke for some reason
Sorry, Mushishi is just deeply beautiful, including it in this ranking was too iconoclastic, and voting results prove it so. Let’s serve the cigarette with some cup of coffee the conclusiveness of the results.
You’re right, but I find the way your comment so subtly and serenely trails off into gibberish strangely mesmeric.
In a very mushi style…
