Hey, it’s that anime kyonyuu was all “Hey, I’ll TL this for you” and then was all “jk, I’m playing Magic tonight and didn’t want to do it in the first place~” Bitter much? MAYBE.

Release Format: MKV (10-bit, 352 MB)

Japanesiness: No honorifics.

Karaoke.

Insert. lol @ random capitalization of “gods”

While I did appreciate the minimalist styling in Fate/Stay, it really doesn’t work with this opening. Why even have it translated if you can’t do the kara right? And I don’t necessarily mean effects or k-timing. Just get the shit to match through intelligent use of font/color choice.

The Ending wasn’t translated this episode, presumably because it would create too much screen clutter with the speech and credits.

Typesetting.

Examples.

I really liked this sign. The kanji it was matched to were flashing and the English flashed alongside appropriately.

This is important enough that I would strongly suggest typesetting it. Unless the main character’s motivation for the events that are about to unfold don’t matter to you guys. In which case, avoid away.

Script.

These two are timed incorrectly. You can’t read the second one in the time allotted and you have too much time to read the first one.

“we doesn’t have much” ~_~

You mean “a while”. Awhile is used in different circumstances. Ex: “I fapped awhile before doing this review. Shouldn’t have done that cuz there was a lot of fap material in the anime I could’ve totally used. Fuck my life.”

Goddamn newfag editors always fuck this up. To a goddamn one. Capitalize their fucking names, guys. “Sis” “Sister” “Teacher”. This is the most basic of shit you ever fucking learn. Why the fuck can’t you get it right?

You don’t bring attention to Remorse Way with a comma. You do it with a colon. And while we’re at it, let’s just unfuck the sentence.

“on the road you hate so much: Remorse Way.”

There we go.

Watchability: Quite watchable.

Overall grade: B

I thought it was a decent enough release overall. Kara was a bit of a letdown and the typesetting, though good for the most part, was missing what I consider to be one of the most important signs in the show. Script was okay, but with some derps that were aggravating.

  1. Sadly this is the best that is offered to us since while Shini, with a joint, just released it. I don’t completely trust them though but at least them or this is better than HS and “Hadena.”

    • Well, it’s always worth seeing how Shini are. Admittedly, I haven’t watched much stuff released by Shini – as they don’t sub shows that I choose to watch – but what I have watched by them I have been happy with i.e. Kamisama Dolls – a joint with Doki.
