Yeah, the shows have aired now, and I could just watch them instead of semi-blindly guessing as to their quality… but where’s the fun in that?

Cheat Sheet

somewhatever

The Series

Prince of Stride: Alternative

Stride

Manga: N/A

Light Novel: N/A

Animation Production: Madhouse

“Like Free, but worse” seems like a winning formula, but without specifying the degree of how much worse it actually will be, this could be a disaster. Luckily, I have a solution:

Not watching it!
Not watching it!

Schrodinger’s anime, baby. No matter what happens, I’ll be right.

Speaking of babies, can you imagine the beautiful birth defects these two would breed? Goddamn.
Speaking of babies, can you imagine the beautiful birth defects these two would beget? I feel I’ve talked about this before, but goddamn, that’s a dynasty in the making.

Musaigen no Phantom World (Myriad Colors Phantom World)

Musaigen

Manga: N/A

Light Novel: N/A

Animation Production: Kyoto Animation

All I see on my internets is bitching about how this show has the ever-dreaded fanservice, like the existence of female sexuality is a personal affront to these pseudotaku’s ISIS-tier morals. Christ, am I glad Japan cares as much about whiny western cuntfucks as I do.

Tits : Liberals :: Garlic : Vampires
Tits : Liberals :: Garlic : Vampires

So anyway, I’m giving it a 10/10 cuz it’s KyoAni and fuck the Christian Left.

HaruChika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru (Haruta & Chika)

HaruChika

Manga: N/A

Light Novel: N/A

Animation Production: P.A. Works

I couldn’t find anything about this show without actually watching it (fuck that) or the PV (fuck that as well), so I just decided to read Haruta Nikki and extrapolate accordingly. Unfortunately, Haruta Nikki (Cactus’s Secret) isn’t online, and while I do own the fucking thing, it’s a bit hard to screencap things when they’re not on a screen. So… that’s why I’m going to read (the first part of) Cactus and Radio instead.

Conflict: some cute girl wants a boyfriend.

Catcus and Radio - Deito

Resolution: some cute girl gets a boyfriend.

Fuck your happiness

I had to go back to sixth-grade writing studies to find an analysis tool dumb enough to handle what I just read. And this is what I have arbitrarily decided HaruChika is tangentially about? No deal, Japan.

Koukaku no Pandora (Pandora in the Crimson Shell)

Koukaku no Pandora

Manga: N/A

Light Novel: N/A

Animation Production: AXsiZ | Studio Gokumi

The manga is awful, but the cat girl is cute, so– Wait, what’s that? I can’t find the motivation to continue the previews when most of the season has aired anyway? Well then I should have thought of that before I didn’t finish them last month. Haha, got me there, didn’t I?

Whatever, guess I’ve gotta cut my losses on something again and start up my posts for another season that I will realistically never get close to finishing. So let’s continue the cycle and hope that Gurren Lagann was right about spirals all along.

Referencing a show that barely pushes 8/10 is clearly a good sign, right?
