Last episode.

10-bit: Torrent

8-bit: Torrent

Sorry for the shit formatting, etc. I’m late to work so I gotta get my ass going now.

Batch post up later today, presumably.

(Whoever released these torrents on TT, thanks. I dunno if you checked the FTP, but I had the computer uploading them overnight with shitty fucking filenames. You probably muxed them yourself though. Sorry for that.)

    • You mean that little square instead of a letter? Yes, I have it too. Actually I have it through the whole video, at those places where a specific letter should be.

    • I downloaded the new VLC player and I don’t have any squares or anything.
I guess you have an old codec or something.

      • Hey, that’s true. Works perfectly with VLC but with Media Player Classic (which I mostly uses) is doesn’t. Weird..? :/

    • VLC works fine for 8bit on mac, including displaying the mysterious letter (did she have that in her name since the start? I never noticed heh).. I’ve yet to find anything better, and I tried every free program I could when the 10bit storm hit believe me.

Feel free to share yr experience with the noobs Mr Lol ;)

  1. Ya any word with an over-scored “a” has a square instead of the letter a, it’s not a big deal given it’s the last episode and all of the characters names should be known at this point, but it had me thinking that my codec pack and font set had somehow become corrupted.
That said, thanks for subbing this series, it wasn’t quite as “epic” as the first series but it did a good job of telling the tale of what occurred after the end of the last series and it was still very enjoyable.

  2. Thanks for subbing this, guys, even if this series ended up blowing goat balls compared to the first one. Best part of the whole show was at the end when Dio kicks everyone’s ass during the grand race. The fact that it appears he got DQ’ed over some bullshit technicality doesn’t change the fact that he beat everyone and they all know it.

  3. God when the grand race played out, first thing I thought was: Where Are All the Racers? Seriously there were so little racers there and they were all from the series. How is it the grand race if the only people a from a group of friends. GONZO does it again -_-

    • I dont see what everyone’s problem with VLC is. It works perfectly, for everything. No matter what. I have yet to find a file the nightly build CANT play =]

  5. First Gai, and now Luscinia? Is every villain of the season gonna be a misunderstood/well intenioned extremist/good all along etc?
Where are the good old assholes/evil overlords/chessmasters? I want someone to hate with passion, not feel sorry for!

I’m so mad I ended a sentence with a preposition!

  6. I use VLC to play mp3s and such, only cause I have the keyboard shortcuts memorizes from the old days. Just use mplayer2 for all the rest.

  7. Thanks for the sub. So far we enjoyed it alot. Had a question: Will you post XviD file too? We collected this show as “avi”. Thank you for your hard work.

  8. Man, thank you for staying until the end.

I know it sucked and you had to bear with it, but… many thanks to Whiners.pro for subbing Last Exile

Doesn’t matter what, I still enjoyed the 2nd season in overall. Though, yes, the ending was lame

  9. Anyone still willing to seed either torrent? Was fine getting earlier episodes, but seems like there’s no one left on this one.

    • Oh, this is a good excuse to put out the v2s I promised. I suppose I’ll finally get this shit done on Friday. Even a batch maybe. D:

      • I’m not the only one asking for the avi. You could see that if you didn’t have your head so far up your ass. :D

Seriously Sage, I like you guys’ work. Just would like to see the end of the series already. Peace.

        • I don’t think it’s having my head up my ass to expect fansub leechers to at least have the relevant technology to let them watch mkvs. I mean, h264 in mkv is only a problem for computers over 7 years old (maybe older – pretty sure I was watching mkvs not long after that on worse systems) – so if that’s the issue, seriously time to upgrade, donchathink?

        • If I can get 720p MKVs playing reasonably well on a 9 year-old Pentium M ThinkPad, you have zero excuses.

    • Yeah, y’all can knock it off. I’ll get them their AVI this weekend so there’s no need to shed blood.

Tester, they’re not really trying to attack you. Ultimately, they just want AVI viewers to switch over to mkv for their own good. Mkv is superior in almost every way, so it really is a good idea to switch over eventually.

      • It’s more that there’s no reason to spoonfeed viewers with every possible format they might need when making your own transcodes is quick and easy if you really need them. Otherwise then you’ve got the people who want AVIs, the people who like MKVs but need 480p because their computers aren’t fast enough to handle HD stuff, the people who want HD MKVs but can only play 8bit, the people who prefer 10bit, and the people who want hardsubbed MP4s for their hardware players. There’s no way to cater to everyone without flooding NT with five versions of every episode like Hadena, so you might as well just release one best version and let people do with it as they will.

Except that I don’t have too many issues with 480p mkvs because my laptop struggles sometimes with the higher resolution releases. I have no idea what 8 bit/10 bit is about, though. I think I was on hiatus when groups decided that was the new way to go…

          • Oh, and before I’m burnt at the stake, my laptop’s only about three years old, so I understand that it’s a little harsh to expect an upgrade on that. I can watch pretty much everything on my PC though, so I have no need to complain, I guess.

            • I think one kind of low-quality option is reasonable to have, since some people have bandwidth caps to deal with. Gotta love some of those ISPs out there.

As for the rest, everybody can go transcode themselves or adjust their playback software and settings, as far as I’m concerned. -_-

      • Fair enough. The reason I want avi version is because i watch it on big screen and my player can’t handle mkv subtitle… Thanks dark, will come back this weekend.

  10. If there wasn’t an avi release for the previous twenty-two epsiodes then it probably would not have been brought up. No one was asking for anything that wasn’t already offered twenty-two times before in regards to the same title. Kind of negates the upgrade-your-shit argument. Peace.
