Visual Review

Karaoke.

Opening. Felt pretty generic to me.

Rating: Okay.

Ending. It’s good except for the parts where the karaoke runs into the credits (this could have easily been avoided).

Rating: Okay+.

Typesetting.

Other.

I don’t know why Doki puts this shit in their releases.

Script Review

Karaoke.

You sure they aren’t saying protect?

Goddamn, this makes no sense.

The ending is so completely fucked I’m just gonna post the entire thing and let you wonder what the fuck’s going on with it.

I wonder how dumb their TL must be to think this counts as a translation. Bet they’ll get hit by a car one day as they’re licking the pavement because “it tastes like black”.

Main Script.

The person speaking here is Mea, who’s talking about the dream Rito had about Momo fucking him in a bathtub. Because of that, it shouldn’t be “me”, it should be “you” because she’s speaking to Rito and squeezing his nipple.

This is Doki, so expect every possible line to be a generitranslation whenever they can get away with it.

All she says here is “I understand.” The “Let’s become friends.” part comes in on the next line.

are

Too long. Try “We can’t see it.”

Wordy and awkward.

“If you want to, I’ll let you touch.”

does

A more liberal translation would probably be something like “We should have a celebration tonight.”, and I suppose I’d prefer subs that went with the liberal style (all else equal), but this works in the context of what you’d expect when you watch Doki’s subs. You know what you’re getting into.

Doki’s release was decent, but not worth waiting 6 days for. Just stick with Pomf’s releases for this show and you’ll be good.

I should note that there was a bit of drama with AFFTW-Hatsuyuki because they took Pomf/Commie’s scripts and claimed them as their own (which is why I’m not reviewing their releases), but I’ll get more into that tomorrow.
