Another fantastic “fansub” release.

I can save you the time and tell you there really aren’t any. Well, actually, there are some…

Why would you change the formal, polite “Understood” into “Yes”? You’re sacrificing character for no reason at all.

I hate you, Tsuki. I hate you so, so much.

Why the fuck would you untranslate this?

The karaoke’s mediocre, but at least it’s not a visual affront like Commie’s and WhyNot’s Free! releases were.

If you’re willing to sacrifice script quality for karaoke and typesetting, this is probably the fanrip you want. But I can’t say it’s worth waiting for this pathetic effort by Tsuki.

  1. >around

I can just imagine them sitting around, saying, “Lol, Crunchyroll, there’s no space in that word. Don’t you know English?”

And that just kinda makes it all the better.

  2. This season must be a delight for D_S to “review”. It’s like the various groups are screwing up on purpose, only to be mentioned on this website. That should tell you something, D_S.

  3. I wish I had something clever to say here, but I just don’t. CR is killing fansubbing slowly but surely. They still can’t hold a candle to a solid fansub, but with 17 simulcasted shows and counting this season (including latecasts, but not other sites like Daisuki), nobody wants to waste the effort to sub when barely anybody will watch. Personally, I went with UTW over CR last season for Gargantia, but just looking at the numbers on Nyaa, despite UTW being such a well known group HS still beats it in overall downloads. If something doesn’t change soon, what little ground we have left will completely crumble away.

    • Don’t forget about actual subscribers. But I think the sole reason why UTW was outnumbered here is because the CR sub came first.

    • I wonder what the details of CR’s licensing deals are like. Given how many people donated just to UTW, it’s not inconceivable that we could have a kickstarter-funded “get license for English-language distribution and let whatever group wants to do it do it” system. Someone would just have to convince the right people.

Then again, maybe most people actually prefer CR…

  4. Hey Darksage, I love this anime, I have downloaded the Tsuki version, but I am not happy with the quality of the SUBS, what would you recommend? Please help me.
