Okay enough.

Release format: MKV (422 MB, 8-bit), AVI (218 MB)

Japanesiness: Honorifics. Multiple TL Notes.

Group website: http://www.subdesu.org/ http://katana-subs.ani-x.com/

8thsin’s translation critique: N/A

Ji-hi’s screenshot comparisons: http://www.ji-hi.net/wi11/hsdxd/

Karaoke.

Opening. This kind of color combination at the top generally works best when the OP has dark settings so the red and black look good together. But this OP switches up scenes often, leaving the color/font choice to look relatively bad. Also the English font choice was retarded.

Ending. Unsubbed. Perhaps it was for the best, as I actually like this ED. No need to have its beauties sullied by Engrish.

Typesetting.

It’d be nice if I knew what the fuck that was.

Okay TSing, but usually sentences end in a period, my friends

Script.

Come on. Learn what the fuck a question mark is. This kind of error happened many times throughout the episode.

“Year-1”? What the hell?

Bodytype is not a word.

Neither is loli-face.

This is supposed to segue to the next line, so make it

“Well, now that we’re all assembled…”

Needs a period to end the sentence.

“God” capitalized is a pronoun, so treat it right. And no, it’s not always capitalized. You wouldn’t be able to replace it with “Dark_Sage” here, so it’s wrong.

God -> god

Huh? This is where the TL Notes you guys tossed throughout the episode would really help, cuz this makes no fucking sense.

This… doesn’t make any sense.

Watchability: Watchable.

Overall grade: C+

Can’t say there’s any reason I’d recommend this joint over Hiryuu’s release.

  1. I think it should be noted that on the second typesetting screenshot the translations are swapped, green “bubble” says “I don’t know!!!” and blue one says “I haven’t seen it!!!”.

    • This is probably to account for Western reading order being left-to-right while Japanese reading order is right-to-left.

  2. I disagree with the line of “loli-face” being wrong. Although it isn’t a word, it’s clearly used in the dialogue, so I would think that it’s unfair to call it on that one.
