Lemme fucking hype this shit cuz it deserves it.
“Spoilers” up through episode 3. But who cares? Keep reading and live a little.
Three humans get summoned by a bunny girl to participate in a skyworld battle royale with supernatural beings because they’re bored of their everyday lives. By “supernatural beings” I mean shit like espers, warlocks, vampires, demon lords, and gods. Yes, gods.
The gist of the world is that there are these clans called “Communities” and all the clans fight each other for members, territory, and fine teas.
I dunno what else to say. Shit’s pretty simple to figure out.
Here’s why the show is great: every character is fucking overpowered as fuck. And it’s awesome. So, if you liked Horizon but thought Tori needed the power of a god? Yeah, now you’ve got three fucking godToris.
You fuck right the fuck off, you ignorant shit. No, get the fuck out. You don’t deserve this show.
Everyone else? Keep with me. Because yes, this show is as good as Horizon.
Sakamaki has two modes: 1. Not giving a fuck and– Actually, he only has one mode.
See, Sakamaki is aware he’s more powerful than anything there is. He just fucking wrecks shit. Just wrecks it.
Not even the gods of the universe can measure how strong he is — he breaks every scanner. Check it:
Anyway, back to his BAMF levels:
- Pretty much says he can defeat anything he wants (episode 3 when promising to rescue Jin’s demon lord friend)
- Often steps aside to let the weaker characters handle things so they can get their self-esteem up and not feel useless just cuz he’s bulldozing through every enemy
- Takes responsibility for molding a kid into a strong, confident leaderman
- Hands in pockets, always
- So bishie
I’ve only seen him slightly confused once, and that was when the universe around him broke apart, leaving him standing in the middle of a cosmic void. And then the void closed up, leaving him in Alaska or something.
But the next time we see his face?
Look at that cocky grin. Alpha as fuck.
Now let’s take this chick. She’s like a Tohsaka Rin that I’d be willing to fuck without putting to sleep first.
What’s her power? Her power is everything has to agree with her, and she can use it multiple times. It’s basically perma-Geass, except better.
You know how the Bleach fans that ignore Tite’s madness argue that Orihime is actually the most powerful Bleach character because she can reject anything? (Death, life, all existence, whatever). Well I guess Asuka’s the fucking equivalent.
Everything has to agree with her. Though, I guess “agree” is a bad word. Sorry, I wanted to ease you into this shit. Her real power is that everything has to submit to her authority.
This includes her enemies, their powers (spirit bomb: return), and fucking inanimate objects (she tells a sword to fucking give her its power and it does). If this chick wanted, the universe would fucking implode. And unlike Orihime, she’s not a useless slab of tearmeat. A+.
And… Kasukabe Yoh
Yeah, this girl…
Okay, I sorta lied about the “three godTohris” bit. This bitch is fucking useless. So far as I can tell, she has the power of animal friendship. That is, every animal she befriends can give her its power.
I mean, that’s cool I guess, but it’s pretty fucking limited cuz most animals suck and the ones that don’t suck aren’t likely to go around high-fiving people. Did I mention that if she loses her fucking necklace, she loses that power? Cuz yeah, that’s not good.
And unlike the other two who came for the lulz, she just came to the world cuz she wanted some nakamas.
I assume she has some fucking hidden power that’ll make her at least close to the other two, but I haven’t seen that come up yet in the show, so I can’t say it’ll happen. Anyway, I just ignore her and focus on the other two. Makes the show better.
tl;dr: Mondaiji is short for Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo, and it’s a damn good show. Watch it.
